Count Fingers Match Up File Folder Game {#1-10}

Thanks for your interest in my Counting Fingers Match Up File Folder Game

Students will use the game pieces to play the game by counting the number of fingers on each hand image and finding either the numeral, number name, or matching hand cards. Two versions of the game are available in this download.

Click here to preview and purchase the game.

Assembly is easy:
1) Print the game mat pages (choose one of two versions), laminate them, and use double face tap to adhere them to a file folder. One – five on one side and six – ten on the other side of the file folder (see preview).
2) Print, trim and laminate the game pieces.
3) {Optional} On the game mat, place a clear sticky dot of Velcro in the center of each hand OR inside the black-line box, depending on which version you will use. On the back of each game piece, place sticky dot (loop/soft side) Velcro. This keeps the pieces from slipping off the mat while playing.
4) Store game pieces in an envelope attached to the front of the file folder. I like to laminate my envelopes to make them last longer. (Again, see preview.) I also add Velcro to the flap so they are able to securely close.
5) Label the file folder tab.

{Tip} If game pieces are ending up everywhere but the file folder game mat, try placing the game on a large tray or cookie sheet. That usually creates a visual for students unable to figure out space boundaries on their own.

Happy Counting,
